No, inspections are required at specific events that trigger an inspection.

No, as long as you have a current valid certificate of compliance you are not required to have an additional inspection.

3. How long is a compliance inspection good for?

The original installation certificate of compliance is valid for five years from the date the system was installed. All subsequent inspections resulting in a certificate of compliance of an existing systems is valid for three years.

4. Who can do a compliance inspection?

Any state licensed septic compliance inspection business can do the inspections for a regular septic system. However, if the system has a pretreatment component the inspection must be done by a certified advanced inspector.
