The Blue Earth County Regional Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility and Product Reuse Center are closing for the regular season at the end of October. Remaining hours are Tuesdays from 12 – 6 pm, Wednesday & Thursdays from 12 – 4 pm through the end of October and Saturday, October 9th from 8 am – 12:30 pm. The final day of the season will be Thursday, October 28th.
The facility will re-open for winter appointments beginning in December for Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur County residents. The Product Reuse Area will not be open to residents during these winter appointments. Detailed information on winter appointments will be posted on the Blue Earth County website and Facebook page in November. The facility will open again for its regular season in April 2022.
The HHW Facility accepts household hazardous wastes free of charge from residents. Examples of items include paint, household cleaners, yard and garden products, certain automotive products, caulking material, fluorescent bulbs, and aerosols. Please store any hazardous materials (including latex paint) in a warm area during the winter months to ensure they do not freeze.
