Printer Cartridge Recycling

Ink & Toner Cartridges

Though made of plastic, ink and toner cartridges cannot be recycled in your household recycling bin. Cartridges are sent to specialized facilities that can separate them into ink/toner residue, plastic, and metal, which are then sent to create a wide range of products.

Printer cartridges (ink and toner) may be recycled at the Blue Earth County-Household Hazardous Waste Facility by county residents and small businesses, free of charge.
