Dust Control Notice

Blue Earth County

The Blue Earth County Highway Department will be applying calcium chloride to gravel roads within the County for dust control this summer.  The cost for two applications is $160 per a 100-foot length by 20-foot width.  Weather permitting, the first application will be applied by the end of May and the second application starting the first week of August.  Areas for dust control will be graded prior to the first application and again in the fall for reshaping to allow for proper surface water drainage.  Grading after the first application will be done for repair work only.

DUST CONTROL APPLICATION WILL NOT BE MADE UNLESS PAYMENT IS RECEIVED BY MAY 3, 2023.

Please mail your request for calcium chloride with a check to: Blue Earth County Highway Department, P.O. Box 3083, Mankato, Minnesota, 56002-3083.  PLEASE FLAG THE STARTING POINT FOR YOUR DUST CONTROL APPLICATION.  State the number of feet requested, direction for Chloride Application from the flag (North, South, East, West), location (County Road number, Section, and Township), and your telephone number.
